Introducing...the Nursery Colors!

As of today we have colors on the wall, chair rail up and carpet installed.  We need to cut, stain and install the baseboards and then we are ready to decorate!  What do you think of the colors for Baby Girl Zoe Human Ice Cream Princess's room?
In progress- chocolate, pink and cream

Braden added a chair rail much to my delight!

One of the fabric swatches for the Roman Shades- see below for both choices and help me choose!

Chocoloate Tone on Tone Damask Stencil

Now we need to choose between polka dot and giraffe fabric for her custom Roman shades made by Grandma Joyce.  Which fabric do you like? I like them both for different reasons and would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Zoe Human, Ice Cream Princess

Inevitably, once people find out the gender of your baby, they have all sorts of name suggestions for you.  My personal favorites so far have come from my nephew, Thomas, and my niece, Keegan.

Thomas, age 5, decided we should name our baby Zoe, since it's a great name.  I agree, but our friends recently named their dog Zoe, so I politely declined.  His response? "But you can STILL name the baby Zoe!  Just have her middle name be Human so that people will know the difference."  Ah, the logic of a 5 year old.

Keegan, age 5, simply said, "Ice Cream Princess".  Enough said, apparently.

By the Way, We are Having a Girl!

Since the first "pic" in July, we've found out that little baby Masselink is of the female persuasion!  Hence the abundance of pink on the blog.  It took about an hour for the reality of it all to set in, but once it did, the first thing Momma did was buy a new pair of boots- like you do in these situations, right?  Here are the new kicks:

Next step- nursery.  Colors have been determined: blush pink, chocolate and cream. The Hubs has primed the walls and removed carpet- it's a blank palette just waiting to be designed. Pics in progress to follow...
